Referral Program Terms

These terms explain how the Siter.io referral program works. They sit alongside our Terms and Conditions, which still apply to every account.

How it works

Every Siter.io account has its own referral link, shown on the Refer a friend page in your account. The Siter.io badge on your websites links to Siter.io with your link too. When someone signs up through it and publishes a real website, you both get Siter AI credits. When they pay for a plan, you get a free month.

Who counts as a friend

• A friend is a person who creates a new Siter.io account after following your link or a badge on one of your websites. Existing accounts never count.
• The first referral link a person follows is the one that counts. It is remembered for 60 days if they allow marketing cookies, and otherwise only for the sign-up in that same visit.
• You cannot be your own friend. A second account of yours, under another email address, in a browser you use, or paid with a card you use, does not count.

Credits when a friend publishes

Credits are given when all of these are true:

• Your friend has confirmed their email address.
• Their website has real content, not a blank page.
• It has stayed online for 3 days without being flagged or taken offline.
• Your friend has signed in on two different days.

Then you get 500 credits and your friend gets 200. For friends who sign up during a launch bonus (the first 14 days of the program, or a later campaign with a stated end date), you get 1,000 credits instead. Referral credits expire 3 months after they are given. Each friend gives credits once.

A free month when a friend pays

This does not depend on publishing: a friend who pays without publishing still counts, and one who publishes without paying still gives credits.

• On a monthly plan, the month is given after your friend's second payment. On a yearly plan, it is given 14 days after their payment. Credit packs and extra usage do not count as paying for a plan.
• The month is worth one month of your own plan, but never more than one month of your friend's plan. It is added to your account and used on your next Siter.io payment.
• If you are on the Free plan, the month is worth one month of your friend's plan and is held on your account for your first payment. Money held does not expire while your account exists.

Limits

• There is no limit on how many people you can invite.
• Each account can receive at most 10 credit rewards and 3 free months in a calendar month. Rewards over the limit wait for the next month.
• Some referrals are checked by our staff before a reward is given, for example when two accounts share an internet connection. Families and offices are welcome; the check only makes sure the friend is a different person.

What is not allowed

We do not give a reward, or we take it back, when:

• the friend is you, under another account, email address, browser or card;
• the friend's payment is refunded or disputed (if a month was already given, what is left of it is taken back);
• the friend's website is flagged, taken offline or suspended, or either account is suspended;
• the referral was gained in any other way that abuses the program.

The account is still created normally; only the referral and its rewards are dropped. We may block a referral link that is used this way.

Deleted accounts

If your friend deletes their account, rewards not yet given are dropped. If you delete yours, rewards not yet given and money held on your account are dropped.

Changes and ending the program

We can change these terms, change the rewards or end the program at any time. The current terms are always on this page.
