Frequently asked.
What is a no-code website builder?
A tool for making, publishing and running a website without writing HTML, CSS or JavaScript. You arrange the page visually, and the builder writes the markup, hosts it and handles forms, the domain and search settings.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free publishes 1 website at name.getsiter.com with 3 pages, 1 form taking 10 submissions a month, 1 GB of visitor traffic a month, 14 days of analytics and 100 AI credits once, with no card. Your own domain, more pages and removing the badge come with the paid plans (see the plans).
Do I need to know CSS to design for phones?
No. A separate layout for each breakpoint: Desktop 1200, Tablet 640 and Mobile 375 by default, plus any custom width you add. You switch screens in Breakpoints and move or restyle elements for that screen alone. How breakpoints work.
Can I still add my own code?
Yes. Head code for the whole website and for each page, plus a Code element for embeds on the canvas. Exporting a page's code is a Pro feature, one page at a time.
Can I start from a Figma design?
Yes. The Figma plugin imports your frames into a Siter page on every plan, one way, with no re-sync. Prototype animations and interactions do not import, so hovers and transitions are rebuilt on the canvas. More on the plugin.
What can it not do?
There is no blog or CMS, no shop, no built-in translations and no visitor accounts. It suits sites where the design is the point: portfolios, studios, launches and small business pages.
More of what the editor does
- Custom domains Point a domain you own at the site, with HTTPS issued automatically, in every paid plan at no extra cost.
- Hosting and SSL No separate host to buy, no certificate to renew. It is part of the plan.
- HTML download Take a copy of a page and host it elsewhere. On Pro, and honest about the limits.
- Forms Design a form on the canvas and get the answers in your inbox.
- Custom fonts Upload the font files the design was made with, on every plan including free.
- Responsive design A layout for each breakpoint, custom widths included, laid out by you rather than guessed by the tool.
- SEO settings Per-page title, description and slug, plus custom meta tags in the head.
- Teams and roles Admin and Member roles on paid plans, with editor seats included and counted per website.
- Website analytics See visitors and top pages for every published site, plus sources, countries and devices on paid plans, with no cookies and no personal data.
- Animations Appear and loop animations, scroll and in-view triggers, custom keyframes and hover states, set per element and previewed on the canvas.
- File hosting Upload PDFs, documents, audio and video and link to them from any button, image or line of text.
- Version history Restore any page from the last 30 days, and bring back deleted pages and websites within 14.
- Visual editor A free-form canvas with layers, auto layout, components and hover states, closer to a design tool than a block builder.
- Popups Open a popup from any button with Open overlay, or link it to a page, a section, a file, an email or a phone call.
- Custom code Head code for the whole website or one page, and a Code element for embeds on the canvas.
- Images An image library for each website with folders and Unsplash search, plus an editor that crops, rotates and adjusts.
- Integrations Zapier for form responses, reCAPTCHA, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, video, fonts, Figma and any embed snippet.
