A Carrd alternative, for when one page stops being enough

Carrd costs nineteen dollars a year and we cost eighty-four. If your site is one page, stop reading and go to Carrd — it is the better answer and it is not close.

The short answer.

Carrd builds one-page sites. That is the product decision that makes it fast, simple and almost free, and it is why this page exists — because the day a project needs a second page with its own URL, there is no larger Carrd plan to move to.

  • Stay on Carrd if…

The site is a link hub, a launch page, a profile or a single landing page. Sections and anchor links are enough navigation. You would rather pay from $9/year, or $19/year for a custom domain than that much a month, and honestly, who would not.

  • Look at Siter.io if…

The project needs real pages with their own URLs, the design already exists as a Figma frame, and you want to place things on a canvas rather than stack elements in a panel.

What it costs to publish one site.

Read the units carefully, because they are not the same. Carrd bills by the year and we bill by the month. Carrd’s numbers come from its own pages, read on 2026-09-04.

The pricing detail that catches people.

Not ours — Carrd’s. The cheapest Pro tier is the one most people assume includes a custom domain, and it does not.

Pro Lite is $9 a year and gives you “Premium URLs”, not custom domains. It removes the Made with Carrd footer and the element limit, which is what most people are actually buying at that price. Your own domain starts one tier up, at Pro Standard, $19 a year — still cheap enough that the distinction costs you ten dollars rather than a decision.

Forms, widgets, embeds and analytics also start at Pro Standard. Redirects, password protection, site files and Download Sites need Pro Plus at $49 a year. Worth reading the tier list before assuming a feature is in the plan you picked.

Siter.io prices per account rather than per site, which only starts to matter above one site: Plus at $12/mo publishes 3 sites and Pro at $24/mo publishes 5. Against Carrd’s 10 sites for $19 a year, that is not a price argument and we are not going to make one.

Feature by feature.

“Not documented” means we could not confirm it from a primary source, and would rather leave a cell empty than guess.

Where Carrd is genuinely better.

This is a longer list than we would like it to be, and every item on it is true.

  • The price is not close

Pro Standard is $19 a year. Siter.io's Solo is $7 a month, which is $84 a year. For a single link-in-bio page there is no argument to make - Carrd wins outright.

  • Nothing to learn

One page, a stack of elements, publish. There is no canvas, no breakpoint model and no Figma step, which is the point. Siter.io asks you to bring a design.

  • It publishes free

Three live one-page sites on the free plan, with a Carrd footer. Siter.io's free plan builds and previews privately and does not publish at all.

  • You can download the site

Download Sites is listed on Pro Plus at $49 a year. Siter.io's HTML download is Pro only and what the archive contains is not documented.

Why people outgrow it anyway.

Not faults. Consequences of the one decision that makes Carrd what it is.

  • It is one page, by design

Carrd builds one-page sites. Sections and anchor links stand in for navigation, and when a project needs a real second page - a case study, a proper about page, a pricing page with its own URL - the constraint stops being a feature.

    Source

  • Custom domains start one tier up

Pro Lite at $9 a year gives Premium URLs, not custom domains. Your own domain starts at Pro Standard, $19 a year. Cheap either way, but not where most people assume it is.

    Source

  • No design canvas and no Figma route

You build inside Carrd's element stack. There is no Figma import, so an approved design is reference material you reproduce with the controls Carrd gives you.

    Source

  • The good parts are spread across three tiers

Forms, widgets, embeds and analytics start at Pro Standard. Redirects, password protection, site files and Download Sites need Pro Plus at $49 a year. Worth reading the tier list before assuming a feature is in the plan you picked.

    Source

  • How moving actually goes.

A Carrd page is one screen of content. Rebuilding it is an afternoon, not a migration.

    1. Keep the Carrd page live while you build.

    2. Send the Figma frame with the plugin.

    3. Add the pages Carrd could not hold.

    4. Point the domain at the new site.

  • There is nothing to import, and that is fine

Carrd has no export that another builder reads, and Siter.io has no Carrd importer. On Pro Plus at $49 a year Carrd does offer Download Sites, though what the archive contains is not documented either.

In practice nobody migrates a Carrd page. They rebuild it, because it is one screen. If the design exists in Figma, yes, on every plan including free - one-way import, no re-sync — prototype animations and interactions do not import.

Keep the Carrd page live on its domain until the new one is ready. The Figma plugin page walks through Siter.io’s route with screenshots.

What you give up, stated plainly.

Moving from Carrd to us costs you money and simplicity. Here is the whole bill.

  • Four and a half times the price. $84 a year against $19. There is no version of this where we are the cheap option.
  • The free plan does not publish. The free plan builds and previews privately; publishing needs a paid plan. Carrd’s free plan puts three live sites on the internet.
  • Something to learn. Carrd has a settings panel. We have a canvas, breakpoints and a Figma step, and that is more product to absorb.
  • No CMS, collections or blog. Same as Carrd. Neither of us solves this.
  • No e-commerce. It is listed as upcoming, with no date. Carrd has payment-enabled forms from Pro Standard, which is more than we have.
  • Code export is limited. HTML download on Pro only; the contents of the export are not documented. Carrd’s Download Sites is on Pro Plus and equally undocumented.

What you get instead: pages with their own URLs, 10 of them on Solo and on Pro; a canvas that positions things rather than stacking them; the Figma import on every plan including the free one; and editors inside the plan at 2 on Solo and 6 on Pro.

Who should stay on Carrd

Anyone whose site is one page and will stay one page. A link hub, a launch page, a profile, a single landing page, an event. Carrd does that job better than we do, for a twentieth of the money, and there is no argument worth making against it.

Frequently asked.

Is Carrd free?

Yes, genuinely. The free plan publishes three live one-page sites with all of Carrd’s core features, on a Carrd subdomain with a “Made with Carrd” footer. What it does not include is a custom domain, forms, widgets, embeds or analytics. Those start on the paid tiers, which begin at $9 a year.

What is Carrd used for?

One-page sites. Link hubs, personal profiles, launch and waitlist pages, event pages, single landing pages, portfolios that fit on one screen. It is deliberately built for the case where a whole site is one scroll, and it is very good at exactly that.

Can you add pages in Carrd?

Not as separate pages with their own URLs. Carrd builds one page, and you structure it with sections and anchor links so that navigation jumps down the page rather than to a new one. For many projects that is enough. When it is not — a case study that needs its own address, a pricing page you want to link to directly — there is no larger Carrd plan that adds real pages.

How many sites does Carrd’s free plan include?

Three. That is three separately published one-page sites from a single free account. Pro Lite at $9 a year keeps the same three, Pro Standard at $19 raises it to 10, and Pro Plus at $49 raises it to 25.

How much is Carrd Pro?

Three tiers, all billed yearly. Pro Lite is $9 a year and removes the branding and the element limit, but gives “Premium URLs” rather than custom domains. Pro Standard is $19 a year and is the first tier with a custom domain, plus forms, widgets, embeds and analytics. Pro Plus is $49 a year and adds advanced forms, redirects, password protection, site files and Download Sites. There is a 7-day Pro trial with no card required.

Is Carrd a no-code tool?

Yes. You build by adding elements and adjusting them in settings panels, with no code required at any point. From Pro Standard up you can embed your own custom code and third-party widgets if you want to, but nothing about the product requires it.
