- Both are Full-seat features on a paid plan. A Collab seat at $3 a month and a Dev seat at $12 cannot use either, and the free Starter plan cannot publish at all.
So “can I just publish from Figma?” has a price attached: $16/mo for a Professional Full seat, which is where the comparison with a $7 publishing tool actually starts.

Beta terms are unwinding
Custom domains, bandwidth and storage were free of charge during the beta through 2025, with additional bandwidth and storage becoming purchasable in early 2026. What a busy site now costs is not clearly documented.
The question Figma does not answer.
There is no primary documentation on what Figma Sites actually publishes.
Figma does not publish a statement about whether the output is semantic HTML, how headings and landmarks are structured, or what its accessibility characteristics are. Designers have raised this publicly and it remains unanswered.
We are not going to tell you Figma Sites output is bad, because we cannot evidence that. What we can say is what Siter.io produces: real HTML pages, one per page you designed, with the per-page title, description, slug and share image you set. If structure matters for your work, publish a test page on both and read the source yourself rather than taking either vendor’s word.

Who should just use Figma
Stay with Figma Make and Figma Sites if you already pay for a Full seat, if you want to prompt your way to a first draft, or if you need more than a handful of sites live at once.
Concretely: if your team is already on Professional Full seats, if you keep more than five sites live, or if you like starting from a prompt and refining, staying inside Figma is fewer moving parts and probably no extra money. Siter.io makes sense when you are on a cheaper seat, when the design is done and you want it published as drawn, or when you want the published pages to be plain HTML you can look at.

Does Figma Sites produce real HTML?

Is there a Figma Make alternative that uses my existing design?
