Does Siter.io have a nonprofit discount?
No. Every organization pays the same plan prices (see the plans). If a charity rate is what makes the budget work, choose a builder that publishes one.
Can I accept donations on a Siter.io website?
Not directly, because Siter.io does not process payments. Link the donate button to your giving platform’s page, or embed its widget with the Code element and test it on a published page first. Receipts and recurring gifts stay with the platform.
Is there a free plan for a small charity?
Yes, within tight limits. Free publishes 1 website at name.getsiter.com with 3 pages, 1 form taking 10 submissions a month, 1 GB of visitor traffic a month, 14 days of analytics and 100 AI credits once, with no card. Your own domain, collaborators and file uploads need a paid plan.
Can volunteers update the website without breaking it?
Yes, on a paid plan. Members edit and publish pages, Admins also manage the team, and there is no view-only role, so add only the people who will edit. Two people cannot edit at the same moment, so agree who is in it.
What happens if the person who built it leaves?
Settle it on day one. The pricing page lists transfer of a website to another account by email, and the receiving account needs a paid plan. Keep the domain registration and any Figma file in the organization’s name, not a volunteer’s.
When is this the wrong tool?
When you post news every week (there is no CMS), need the site in two languages, or want to sell tickets and goods from it. In those cases a builder with a blog, translations or a shop fits better.
